Eris employee to represent Southern Africa

We are proud to announce that our very own Bakang Palai has been chosen to partake in the prestigious Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African leaders in the United States amongst other youth from Africa.

This fellowship was launched in 2009 by Barack Obama and its aim is to develop leadership skills across Africa.

Ambassador Miller said the objective behind this Initiative aimed to support these leaders as they spurred growth and prosperity, strengthen democratic governance and enhance peace and security across Africa. He said all those selected had proven record of accomplishment in leading and promoting positive change in their work as well as in their communities. The 13 participants would be among 500 African leaders who will partake in this initiative. “The thirteen leaders selected to represent Botswana will be part of a larger delegation of 500 Africans, representing bright, ambitious and dedicated young heroes in the continent,” he said.

Bakang Palai graduated from UCT in 2007 where he then join us at RMB properties in 2008 and moved with us to Eris Property Group for a further year. He then moved to Khumo Property Asset management (our partners in Botswana) and has been with them since.

We are proud that Eris can produce such talent and develop it to the level that Bakang has reached.

We congratulate Bakang and wish him all the best on his endeavours.
