Domestic consumer spending, coupled with a resources boom, is presenting greater opportunities for real estate investment in Sub-Saharan Africa. Barend de Loor of Eris Property Group, the operating partner to the 0M Momentum Real Estate Africa Fund, talks about demand from South Africa retailers and multinational corporations pushing for a presence on the continent, the dangers of “over-shooting” small, local markets and what that means for Eris and Momentum’s strategy for Sub-Saharan Africa.
